Ashnikko lançou o seu novo álbum “WEEDKILLER”, via Warner Music. O projeto inédito já está disponível em todos os serviços de streaming.

 “WEEDKILLER” é uma coleção de músicas irresistíveis, que aperfeiçoam o som ousado e a mistura de gêneros que definiram o trabalho da artista até hoje. O universo ‘WEEDKILLER’ que Ashnikko criou é uma fantasia distópica, que conta a história de uma civilização fada ocupada e destruída por máquinas que se alimentam de matéria orgânica, onde a protagonista das fadas busca vingança tornando-se parte máquina, uma metáfora sobre o desastre ambiental e a rápida evolução da tecnologia.

 

Sobre o álbum, Ashnikko explica: “o mundo que venho criando nos últimos dois anos e meio está finalmente eclodindo. Eu me senti imensamente aliviada escrevendo esse álbum. Isso aprofundou meu senso de individualidade e lançou raízes dos meus pés para a terra. Recuperei meu corpo dos herbicidas que se agarraram à minha pele como carrapatos. Espero que o público seja capaz de gritar na floresta e uivar para a lua ao som deste álbum.”

 

Para comemorar o lançamento do novo projeto, Ashnikko fará um show, nesta sexta-feira (25), no Reading Festival, no palco do Festival Republic, no Reino Unido. A turnê ‘WEEDKILLER’ passará  pelos Estados Unidos e Europa, incluindo shows no Alexandra Palace em Londres, no Brooklyn Mirage em Nova York e no Élysée Montmartre em Paris.44 Confira a tracklist completa de “WEEDKILLER”:
