Comemorando 20 anos do lançamento de seu primeiro álbum “Hopes and Fears”, a banda Keane passou recentemente pelo Brasil com shows em Curitiba, Rio de janeiro e São Paulo
Essa é a quinta vez que a banda vem ao país para shows, já são praticamente de casa.
Em São Paulo, a banda se apresentou no Espaço Unimed, zona oeste, no sábado, 09 de novembro, e foi esse o show que acompanhamos ao vivo.
Formado em 1995, o Keane, hoje é formado por Tom Chaplin nos vocais, Tim Rice-Oxley nos teclados, Jesse Quin no baixo e Richard Hughes na bateria, possuem na discografia seis álbuns de estúdio e dois álbuns ao vivo. Em maio deste ano a banda lançou uma edição comemorativa de “Hopes and Fears”, totalmente remasterizada no lendário Abbey Road Studios.
Falando um pouco do show de São Paulo, pontualmente às 22 horas, a banda subiu ao palco e o que podemos ver foi um show redondo, de uma banda extremamente competente e carismática.
A abertura foi com a bela canção “Can’t Stop Now”, seguindo com “Silenced by the Night” e seguiu com suas baladas, até a introdução de “Evebody’s Changing”, que subiu o tom da apresentação.
Francamente os dois maiores sucessos da banda são Evebody’s Changing e Somewhere Only We Know, que se tornaram clássicos, mas o show por inteiro é muito bom, tendo o vocalista Tom Chaplin como maestro de seus companheiros que a cada música do set vibravam com a enorme interação junto ao público.
A novidade foi o cover clássico de “Under Pressure”, do Queen no set, antes do final com a música “Bedshaped”.
