Pixies lança novo álbum Beneath The Eyrie, via Infectious/BMG Worldwide

A banda inicia turnê mundial em apoio ao lançamento

 

Pixies lança o aguardado novo álbum Beneath The Eyrie, contendo 12 faixas. O lançamento marca a estreia da banda com a Infectious/BMG Worldwide, e foi produzido por Tom Dalgety, indicado ao Grammy. Com três singles lançados, “On Graveyard Hill”, “Catfish Kate” e “St Nazaire”, tendo o primeiro estreado em #1 no SubModern Chart da FMQB, o disco é fiel ao trabalho de décadas da banda, soando familiar mas um tanto inquietante. Beneath The Eyrie recapitula a velocidade raivosa, a invenção sem limites e a estética vívida e envolvente dos primeiros e lendários álbuns do Pixies, sem sentir a necessidade de recriá-los. Em vez disso, a banda brinca com novas sonoridades, como doom rock, ragtime, Weezer pop e western psych.

 

Junto à liberação dos singles e divulgação do álbum, a banda produziu 12 episódios da série “It’s a Pixies Podcast”, explorando o processo criativo de Beneath The Eyrie e dando um olhar mais intimista com conversas entre os membro do Pixies e Tom Dalgety. O último episódio foi ao ar ontem, e pode ser ouvido aqui.

 

A banda iniciou sua extensa turnê mundial em agosto, no Daydream Festival em Pasadena, CA. Hoje, Pixies embarca para o Reino Unido para sua primeira turnê européia em dois anos.
