Produtor musical, designer e artista visual carioca radicado em Nova York, Andre Unknown faz um mergulho no desconhecido e nas possibilidades infinitas da anonimidade para reinventar seu trabalho musical. Em sua nova era, ele busca inspirações no bedroom pop, lo-fi e arte pop para envolver o ouvinte em sua versão de “Wishful Thinking”, da neozelandeza BENEE, seu single de estreia, que chega com um clipe.

“Ano passado, eu tinha acabado de chegar em NY e meu amigo e músico Delnur estava me mostrando a cidade. No carro dele, o som da BENEE estava constantemente tocando. As melodias ficaram na minha cabeça e gostei muito do groove. Estudando piano com Eduardo Farias, eu trouxe a ‘Wishful Thinking’ e ele comentou que essa música tem os mesmos acordes de ‘Samurai’, do Djavan com o Stevie Wonder. Adorei essa referência e fiquei com vontade de fazer esse cover”, conta o artista, que somou os samples de filmes da saga “Star Wars” que ganham tons peculiares ao pensar que é alguém dos trópicos tão longe de casa.
Esta é a nova identidade artística de André Câmara, que trabalha com artes visuais desde a adolescência e fez parte do surgimento de uma vibrante cena de produtores cariocas que inclui nomes como Diogo Strausz, Leo Justi e Julio Secchin.
Tendo anteriormente dividido palco com Metronomy, Joakin, Crystal Castles e The Twelves, André está de volta com uma série de EPs planejados ainda para esse ano. A produção musical, visual e de vídeo foi inteiramente feita pelo artista com mixagem e masterização de Pedro Garcia. “Wishful Thinking” está disponível em todas as plataformas de música digital.
