Eric Clapton lança novo trabalho “Happy Xmas” com canções natalinas

Eric Clapton lançou recentemente no Brasil (em todas as plataformas digitais) seu primeiro álbum de Natal, Happy Xmas e lá nos EUA e Europa o (CD e LP).

 

O conjunto Bushbranch Records / Surfdog Records, que apresenta uma ilustração de capa de Papai Noel de Clapton, é o 24º álbum de estúdio de Slowhand e o primeiro desde 2016 I Still Do.

 

As 14 faixas do álbum são uma mistura de padrões – incluindo “White Christmas”, “Silent Night” e “Away in a Manger” – e músicas de Natal menos conhecidas, junto com uma nova faixa original, “For Love On Christmas Day”.

 

”A interpretação de Claption de“ Jingle Bells ”é dedicada à“ memória Avicii ”, devido à admiração do cantor pelo falecido DJ. “Eu tinha em mente que essas músicas de Natal poderiam ser feitas com um leve toque de blues, e comecei a descobrir como tocar as linhas de blues entre os vocais”, disse Clapton, que co-produziu o Happy Xmas com um produtor musical de longa data. Simon Climie: “Consegui e uma das músicas mais identificáveis ​​do álbum, a que se tornou o estilo fundacional, é ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’”.

 

Anteriormente, Clapton apareceu proeminentemente no programa A Special Christmas Live, de Washington, DC, lançado em 1999. O álbum, que beneficiou as Olimpíadas Especiais, apresentou Clapton em cinco faixas apresentadas em um show de dezembro de 1998 do presidente Bill Clinton. para anunciar o 30º aniversário das Olimpíadas Especiais. Happy Xmas está disponível para pré-encomenda a partir de hoje (17 de agosto).

Nossa opinião: “Um trabalho maravilhoso, Eric Clapton, conseguiu deixar as canções natalinas encorpadas com uma sonoridade cheia de blues e outros ritmos. Já entrando no clima do Natal esse novo projeto do cantor é aquele pra você sentar no sofá de casa e ouvir ele sem pressa ou mesmo enquanto faz a sua decoração natalina. Remete a juntar os amigos e familiares e ouvir em alto e bom som.

 

Aguardamos esse trabalho sair em CD aqui no Brasil, vale muito a pena ter o material pra ouvir e guardar pra ouvir sempre.
