GREEN DAY ANUNCIA LANÇAMENTO DO ÁLBUM AO VIVO “THE BBC SESSIONS” NO DIA 10 DE DEZEMBRO

A banda britânica histórica vai disponibilizar pela primeira vez  performances que vão de 1994 a 2001

  

Abrindo seu cofre e revisitando séries de históricas performances e transmissões ao vivo no Reino Unido, a banda cinco vezes ganhadora do Grammy, Green Day tem o orgulho de apresentar o álbum ao vivo “The BBC Sessions”, que será lançado no dia 10 de dezembro. A coleção de 16 faixas apresenta quatro performances fundamentais gravadas nos lendários estúdios Maida Vale da BBC em 1994, 1996, 1998 e 2001 juntos em um álbum, marcando a primeira vez que essas gravações foram masterizadas para um lançamento oficial.

 

Quatro meses depois de lançar “Dookie”, o Green Day entrou nas sagradas muralhas do Maida Vale Studios da BBC no dia 8 de junho de 1994 e arrasou com um set rouco e forte de quatro músicas: “She”, “When I Come Around”, “Basket Case” e “2000 Light Years”. A banda estava no auge de sua explosão mundial. Naquele dia, eles ainda tiraram vantagem do tempo livre de estúdio e ainda descobriram a abertura de “Imsoniac” no banheiro: o que seria “Armatage Shanks”. Eles voltaram à BBC durante 1996 trabalhando aquele álbum, apareceram com “Brain stew/Jaded” e “Walking Contradictions” Dois anos depois, eles lançaram uma bomba super carregada com “Nice Guys Finish Last” no meio da era ”Nimrod”. Finalmente, eles fecharam o verão de 2001 com quatro hinos de “Warning”, entre eles “Church On Sunday”. E tudo isso está em “The BBC Sessions”.

 

“The BBC Sessions ”vai estar disponível no exterior com notas sobre cada faixa que Steve Lamacq, convidado do lendário Evening Show da Radio 1 fz de cada faixa – ele estava presente em cada uma das sessões descritas acima.

 

A banda que faz parte do hall da fama do rock and roll, está no momento na The Hella Mega Tour, sua turnê norte-americana de estádios com ingressos esgotados. Essa turnê trouxe a banda a alguns dos mais renomados palcos dessas dimensões, incluindo Dodger Stadium, Wrigley Field, Citi Field, Fenway Park entre outros. “The Hella Mega Tour” vai terminar no Reino Unido e Europa no próximo ano, clique aqui para a lista completa de datas.
