Em julho de 2017, o New Order retornou ao palco do Old Granada Studios, em Manchester, onde a Joy Division fez sua estreia na televisão no programa So It Goes de Tony Wilson em 1978. Para o show ∑(No,12k,Lg,17Mif): Live at Manchester International Festival de New Order + Liam Gillick: So it goes.., a banda desconstruiu, repensou e reconstruiu uma grande quantidade de material de toda a sua carreira: familiar e obscura, antiga e nova.

 

O disco está disponível agora em todas as plataformas digitais.

 

O trabalho inclui faixas como Disorder, do disco Unknown Pleasures do Joy Division e algumas músicas não tocadas ao vivo há 30 anos, até 2015.  O aclamado Plastic e também Music Complete fazem parte do setlist- este é o registro perfeito dessas 5 noites mágicas.

 

O álbum foi gravado ao vivo em 13 de julho de 2017 e inclui o show completo, encore e mais 3 faixas adicionais gravadas durante a residência, para dar aos ouvintes uma representação completa da amplitude do material realizado.

 

Esta série especial de shows intimistas ocupou a primeira etapa do icônico Old Granada Studios de Manchester por cinco noites em junho de 2017. Criado em colaboração com o artista visual Liam Gillick, que já havia apresentado exposições individuais em locais como Tate Britain e MoMA em Nova York; e orquestrado pelo compositor-arranjador Joe Duddell, um colega de Manchester e um colaborador freqüente da banda, o show foi apresentado pela banda com um conjunto de 12 colunas de sintetizadores do Royal Northern College of Music.
