New Order lança hoje sua primeira nova faixa desde o álbum de 2015, Music Complete.

 

‘Be a Rebel’ foi originalmente planejada como um lançamento antes da turnê do New Order neste outono, mas com shows ao vivo em espera e suas datas remarcadas para 2021, a banda sentiu que era importante compartilhar novas músicas com os fãs.

 

“Em tempos difíceis, queríamos lançar uma nova música. Não podemos tocar ao vivo por um tempo, mas a música ainda é algo que todos podemos compartilhar juntos. Esperamos que você goste … até nos encontrarmos novamente. ” – Bernard Sumner

 

Com uma mensagem para celebrar a nós mesmos e valorizar o que temos, mesmo em tempos difíceis, ‘Be a Rebel’ é uma versão edificante e sonhadora de synth pop do New Order.

New Order também lançará a coleção definitiva de seu álbum de estúdio de 1983 Power, Corruption & Lies pela Warner Music em 2 de outubro de 2020. O box set será acompanhado por lançamentos individuais de quatro singles de vinil de 12″ de 1983/1984 que não aparecem no álbum original, começando com o mais vendido 12” de todos os tempos, ‘Blue Monday’, seguido por ‘Confusion’, ‘Thieves Like Us’ e ‘Murder’.

 

New Order é: Bernard Sumner, Gillian Gilbert, Stephen Morris, Tom Chapman e Phil Cunningham

 

O single já está disponível digitalmente e será seguido por 12”, CD e um pacote digital, com remixes. Arte de Warren Jackson.
