Os The White Stripes estão celebrando o 20º aniversário de seu terceiro álbum de estúdio, White Blood Cells, com o lançamento, nesta sexta (25), da versão digital expandida. White Blood Cells (Deluxe) inclui performances ao vivo bônus do clássico álbum, gravadas por completo em Detroit, no Gold Dollar, em 7 de junho de 2001. Além disso, um vídeo da eletrizante “I’m Finding It Harder To Be A Gentleman”, do mesmo show, foi ao ar hoje no canal do YouTube do The White Stripes.

Saudado pela Rolling Stone por seu lançamento original em 3 de junho de 2001, por “fundir assustadoramente eternas melodias com riffs enlouquecedores”, White Blood Cells retornará em todas as plataformas de streaming, com os áudios remasterizados em HD a partir dos tapes originais, utilizando o processo Plangent para oferecer a maior qualidade de áudio. O álbum autointitulado de 1999 e o icônico Elephant também foram remasterizados, além de outros da discografia, que terão sua versão em HD lançadas ao longo do ano. Como parte da comemoração, ao utilizar uma das hashtags a seguir no Twitter, um emoji personalizado da Peppermint Swirl aparecerá: #TheWhiteStripes, #WhiteBloodCells20, #WhiteBloodCells, #FellInLoveWithAGirl, and #HotelYorba.
