O álbum de estréia Turning Water Into Wine foi lançado de forma independente e é recheado de referências ao rock dos anos 70 e 80

 

Formada em 2003, a The Basement Rocks lançou seu álbum de estréia Turning Water Into Wine em 2020, de forma totalmente independente. Os guarulhenses Evandro Cardoso, Paulo Ladeira e Rodrigo Souza não se preocupam com estereótipos e buscam fazer música pela música.

A banda começou como muitos grandes nomes da cena, fazendo cover de outras bandas já consagradas pelo público e crítica. Com muitos ensaios e jam sessions, os integrantes decidiram reformular a banda, inclusive o nome, e criaram a The Basement Rocks. Desprendendo-se dos covers, apostaram em composições autorais e acumularam material para um disco.

 

Com o espírito do DIY (Faça Você Mesmo) que percorre toda a história do rock ‘n’ roll até hoje, The Basement Rocks gravou sua estréia em um home studio, independentemente. A gravação das nove canções captura todas as transformações que moldaram a banda para como a conhecemos hoje.

 

Nada é capaz de parar a vontade de fazer música. Influenciados pelas diversas formas de rock ‘n’ roll, principalmente as produzidas nas décadas de 70 e 80, os integrantes da The Basement Rocks reuniram forças e lançaram Turning Water Into Wine, um álbum maduro e cheio de sentimentos.
