Simply Red atingiu uma aclamação maciça ao longo de sua carreira, conquistando a marca de mais de 60 milhões de discos vendidos globalmente. No dia 22 de outubro o Simply Red revisita muitos de seus clássicos com o lançamento de “Simply Red Remixed Vol. 1 (1985-2000)” pela Warner UK/Rhino Records.

 

Apresentando 22 músicas, o álbum duplo traz sete remixes nunca lançados antes, incluindo “Something Got Me Started (David Morales Radio Mix)”, o hit arrasador da banda, diretamente do album “Stars”, e “Money’s Too Tight To Mention (United City Mix)” do album de 1985 “Picture Book”.

Formada em Manchester, Reino Unido, no ano de 1984, Simply Red dominou os charts britânicos com dez top 10 singles neste mercado, cinco primeiro lugares, duas faixas em primeiro nos charts dos Estados Unidos, o álbum mais vendido da Inglaterra nos anos de 1991 e 1992, cinco álbuns no primeiro lugar entre os mais vendidos do Reino Unido, três prêmios Grammy e dois prêmios BRIT.
