Ruff Majik lança hoje novo álbum “The Devil’s Cattle”

The Devil’s Cattle é o mais novo álbum da banda sludge ‘n’ roll Sul Africana Ruff Majik, e o primeiro trabalhando com o selo Mongrel Records. Ele foi gravado ao final de 2019, no estúdio de Evert Snyman, membro mais novo da banda, em Joanesburgo.

 

Ruff Majik se formou originalmente em 2012, quando a banda saiu de Lydenburg para ir para Pretória. Ingressaram na cidade como um trio (Johni Holiday, Jimmy Glass, Benni Manchino) e trabalharam juntos, mesmo que sem muita experiências no mercado, mas movidos pela paixão e uma ambição impressionante. Depois de três anos se ajustando e tocando apenas alguns shows, a banda tomou a decisão de lançar músicas originais.

 

Nos anos seguintes, a banda lançou os EPs The Bear (2015), The Fox (2016) e The Swan (2017), um sucesso crescente que levou banda para participar de turnês na Europa e então em 2017, lançar seu primeiro álbum, Seasons, em 2018, via Rock Freaks Records (Alemanha), e no ano seguinte, o álbum de 2019 Tǻrn foi lançado pela Lay Bare Recordings (Holanda).

 

The Devil’s Cattle foi escrito durante a turnê européia da banda em 2019, que contou também com a introdução dos novos membros Cowboy Van, Evert Snyman, e Tommer Wallace para que a banda pudesse continuar com seu calendário de shows ativo e com qualidade.
